ok i bought a drive shaft off ebay and i says rear drive shaft for a 99 auto and i have a 98 so it should work but he sent it and in the tracking info it says it weighs 17 pounds is that right? or did he just send a piece of it? witch peice did he send if it only weighs 17 pounds, i need the bearings and u joints too i thought you couldnt take these drive shafts apart?

so you think its the hole thing? my bearings are shot and the u joints are too, i now i should have got pics but i was in a hurry and it was the cheapest one

Only possible issue i can see is there were changes to rear diff and driveshaft parts from MY98 to MY99 in Impreza's and Foresters. Specifically the RHR driveshaft fitted to LSD equipped models Unsure on the Legacy or USDM cars though
